3-Month Minimum Inital Commitment

Your membership continues on a flexible month-to-month basis after the three months. Cancel anytime before your next auto renewal.

*Membership is subject to successful completion of Real Dates' eligibility and background screening process. A $65 background screening fee is included in your membership payment and becomes non-refundable once your screening has been initiated. If Real Dates determines that you do not meet its membership eligibility requirements following screening, the remaining membership amount will be refunded.

Why I Started Real Dates

Dating shouldn’t feel like another job.

Over the years, I watched friends, family, and colleagues become increasingly frustrated with dating. They were spending more time swiping than actually meeting people. More time texting than talking. More time wondering if someone was worth meeting than simply sitting across the table from them.

Eventually, many of them stopped trying altogether.

They weren’t just stepping away from dating. They were stepping away from experiences. They stopped making plans, trying new restaurants, getting dressed up for a night out, and looking forward to meeting someone new. That felt like a loss to me.

I started Real Dates because I believe dating should give us something to anticipate, not something to avoid.

I wanted to create an experience that feels thoughtful from the very beginning. That’s why I personally interview every member, take the time to understand who they are beyond a profile, and thoughtfully introduce people I genuinely believe should meet. From there, my team takes care of the details, from the restaurant reservation to the planning, so you can simply show up and enjoy the evening.

My hope is that every date feels like an opportunity. Maybe it’s the start of a relationship. Maybe it’s just a wonderful evening with someone new. Either way, it’s a chance to reconnect with the simple joy of getting out, sharing a conversation, and experiencing life again.

FAQs

  • We use your application, your conversation with us, and your feedback after each date to make thoughtful matches. It is not random and it is not based on swiping. Each introduction is intentional.

  • No. Every introduction is a true blind date. Before your date, we’ll share three facts about your match along with your reservation details to build a little anticipation while keeping the surprise intact. The rest, you’ll discover across the table.

  • Every introduction is made thoughtfully, not quickly. While many members are matched soon after joining, timing depends on finding the right fit. We’d rather wait for the right introduction than rush the wrong one.

  • No. Your dinner and gratuity are covered as part of your membership, so there is nothing to pay and no awkward “who pays for the bill” moments. If you choose to order alcoholic beverages during your date, those are NOT included and may be purchased separately at the restaurant.

  • Yes. Membership requires an initial three-month commitment. After that, it automatically continues month-to-month and can be canceled anytime before your next billing date.

  • It happens, and we handle it. If your date does not show, we will arrange another date for you at no extra cost. If someone repeatedly misses dates, they are removed from the membership.
